Meet Kat Armstrong.
Encouraging curious Christians to study the Bible, a literary masterpiece.
Kat Armstrong was born in Houston, Texas, where the humidity ruins her Mexi-German curls. She is a powerful voice in today’s generation—a dynamic Bible teacher, innovative ministry leader, and prolific author who is passionate about encouraging curious Christians to explore Bible stories.
Kat holds a master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in Christian Education and a Doctorate of Ministry in New Testament Context at Houston Theological Seminary. Her academic background informs her accessible approach to teaching Scripture.
A sought-after keynote speaker and itinerant preacher, Kat regularly serves churches, conferences, and nonprofit organizations nationwide. Her clear communication style inspires audiences to engage deeply with the Bible and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. She is also the host of Holy Curiosity, a podcast produced by Christianity Today and The Center for Women in Leadership, where she highlights the genius storytelling of God.
Kat is the author of several books, including No More Holding Back and The In-Between Place, which challenge readers to embrace their God-given gifts and trust God in life’s most difficult spaces. She also created the Storyline Project, an 8-volume Bible study series that traces a person, place, or thing through the Scriptures through studies titled Mountains, Valleys, Sticks, Stones, Sinners, Saints, Gardens, and Deserts. And she was a contributor to The Message Bible: Women's Devotional.
Her writing has been featured in Christianity Today, Patheos, Logos, Proverbs 31, and Peer Magazine, and she has been a guest on numerous popular podcasts, including The Bema Podcast, The Daily Grace Podcast, The Biblical Mind, and The Alabaster Jar.
Kat lives in McKinney with her husband Aaron and their son Caleb. Together, they attend Christ Fellowship McKinney, where Aaron serves as the senior lead pastor. Married for over twenty years, Kat and Aaron have shared a life of ministry and mission that continues to shape leaders, churches, and communities across the country.
